This week I’m going on a girl’s trip to sunny California for a quick weekend getaway to one of my favorite places, Disneyland! The trip is days away and I’m a little behind in my packing. I typically like to pack early because I constantly remember little things I forgot the days leading up to my flight.

I am getting so excited to stay at the Marriot at the Anaheim Convention Center. It’s around a 10-minute walk to the Disney gates. As I’m packing, I need to think through the weather, space in my bag and plans for the day. I have to be prepared for rain and chilly nights because you know I’ll be there rope drop to fireworks. The great thing about this trip is that we are flying Southwest and get two free checked bags. I can bring as much as I want even though it’s such a short trip. These are some of the fun things I’ll for sure be bringing along:

1. Fanny Pack

Yes, it’s a controversial article of clothing, but I love it for Disney. I’ve only ever used a fanny pack for Disney and it is an essential for me. I would have never guessed that I would like this large grey one, but it’s the best thing ever. It fits everything I need. I’ll do a whole separate post on what I bring in my fanny pack everyday.

2. Ears

I have seven pairs of ears and I love them! I have to choose a couple because we only have two Disney days. Of course, I coordinate my outfits with the ears. I’m planning on doing a post about my ears and reviews for each. Some are not comfortable enough to wear all day, so that becomes a major part of my decision. I’m all about comfort.

3. Two Disney Day Outfits

One of my favorite parts about packing, especially for a Disney trip, is deciding what outfits to wear. It can take some time to figure out weather and exactly what will be comfortable and cute, but it’s something I really do enjoy.

4. Pool Lounge Wear

We are planning on spending one day just chilling at the pool at our hotel. It’s always nice to just relax on vacation. I’ll be wearing a swimsuit (crazy, I know). I also want to bring a cover up and I might bring this really cute sun hat I have since I have space in my free checked bag!

5. Comfy Shoes

This is a must. I typically bring a couple pairs of tennis shoes for my longer trips because something about switching out every day helps me avoid blisters. I don’t know how some people do it with sandals or flip-flops! My feet are so sensitive and I need the arch support.

6. Rain Jacket

You never know if the weather will cooperate. I can fit a rain jacket in my fanny pack now, which is perfect for unexpected showers. It typically also gets a little chilly at night after the sun goes down, so I use my rain jacket as a light covering.

7. Night Out Fit

Since we will be spending one day just relaxing by the pool, we will most likely spend the evening walking around Downtown Disney. I’ll still need to wear comfortable shoes since we’ll be walking quite a bit… that can make a night out outfit tricky. Please leave any ideas in the comment section.

8. Workout Clothes

I’m hoping the hotel has a gym I can visit at least on the day we aren’t going into the parks. When I stayed at the Hilton at the Anaheim Convention Center, you had to pay to access the gym. Yes, it was a fantastic gym, but really? At most hotels you can find a couple weights and machines. I felt like it was a scam. Hopefully the Marriott will have free access. Otherwise I’ll have to do a YouTube video workout or something.

That’s about it. Stay tuned for future posts by entering your email below. I’m so excited for this blogging journey and all the vacations I have planned this year.
