My sister and I went on a whirlwind trip to Disney World and I’m finally posting about it. I had a business trip to Orlando and wanted to take advantage of my time there. My sister Mackenzie decided to join me last minute. I’m so glad she did! We tried out the new partial day option for our Disney tickets. It was a short trip with some odd travel times. It was my first time seeing Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and her first time for all the Pandora stuff, Toy Story Land and more! Talk about an exciting trip.

Mackenzie and I laughed our way to Orlando. It was so fun to travel just the two of us after years of being adults with husbands, jobs and responsibilities. We soaked it in. I had planned on getting us matching shirts, but hers didn’t ship in time. It was a huge ordeal, but I’m over it at this point. I wish we had them for pictures, but at least I got mine. ?

To be honest, the half day option wasn’t my favorite. I love getting there first thing in the morning to enjoy the smaller crowds and take advantage of the full day. I’m more of a rope drop to fireworks kind of gal. Granted, it was a nice option for our circumstances. I worked in the morning and we headed out in the afternoon. We got to enjoy Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom.

The first half day was spent at Hollywood Studios. We had to check out the new Star Wars ride and atmosphere. It was incredible! Disney goes all out to make you feel like you’re truly in a different world. We got to be pilots on Smuggler’s Run and were honestly horrible at steering the ship. It was a blast though! We also enjoyed everything Toy Story Land had to offer. This park used to be one that you didn’t need a full day for, now I think you probably need two days to get everything in and enjoy the overall magic.

The second day we headed to Magic Kingdom. This day, we had the most time. You need a lot of time to visit this park. We had such a fun time riding all the classics. Magic Kingdom really is filled with magic. The half day is never enough time, but we packed it full and stayed from the moment we could get in to the fireworks and closing. It was in October, so they had the pumpkin spice milkshake that we had to try. I didn’t think the flavor was super great, but the shake was so cute! We took a ton of pictures.

Our third and final day we headed to Animal Kingdom. This is my all time favorite Disney park. We brought matching cheetah tank tops which was so fun and cute! I loved showing Mackenzie Pandora for the first time. We stood in line for a looong time for Avatar Flight of Passage. It is such a cool ride. While in line, I actually snuck out and got us Starbucks. It was necessary! We had such a good time.

I’m so grateful that Mackenzie chose to join me on this quick trip! It was a last minute whirlwind of a Disney vacation, but so well worth it and so fun. I wouldn’t have wanted to do it with anyone else.
