Okay, so this isn’t actually going to be an ode, but I only have good things to say about our trip to Vail last summer. Vail, Colorado is such an amazing place to visit. Nashid and I wanted to have a little getaway without flying anywhere, so we decided to take the three-hour drive to this lovely city. We went at the end of August to take advantage of having Labor Day off. It did not disappoint! What a beautiful place to go during the summer.

Vail is known as a ski town, but they offer plenty to do in the warm weather as well. There was quite a bit of traffic on the way up, but we enjoyed our long drive with music and good company. The hotel we stayed at was recently renovated and offered us complimentary drinks as we waited for our room.  We were upgraded to a King Loft Suite. We couldn’t have asked for better accommodations. The bed was so comfortable. We had a kitchen area, fireplace, balcony and two TVs. The bathroom and bed were upstairs in the loft area. We loved it!

The town itself was so cute! It felt like a European town with tasty German restaurants and beautifully designed architecture. We walked around the main street during some kind of art and food market. The restaurants did not disappoint. We went to a fancy place for a big brunch buffet. It was so beautiful.

The hotel also offered a quiet pool where we enjoyed some time in the sun. It felt like a true vacation with lots of rest and down time.

On our last day, we enjoyed breakfast at the restaurant in our hotel before heading into town one last time. Then we headed home. 10/10 would recommend.
